I just want to give an update on the CKP.
I found an Auto Electric shop with reasonable prices. I tell you, after the CKP was done the car has no vibration or shaking, idle is good and it feels like a new car and runs great.

I would at least pull the head first and see what your working with
2004 Aveo beater car
2005 Aveo LT. 5-speed beater car (DOA)
So I decided to go ahead with the full engine swap. I have purchased a complete car from our insurance company but I was wondering if anyone had instructions for a full engine removal?
Instructions can be bought here: 2005 Chevy Chevrolet Aveo Service Shop Repair Manual Set Factory Brand New | eBay
Of course having a set of shop manuals is the way to go. Doing an engine swap is not a minor task. You might be able to find a online service that has the same information. I bought the first book and I use it from time to time.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....
So the swap is done and I can say that the biggest issues were that the front subframe mount pin was corroded so bad on the donor car that I had to use a zip disk to remove it and then drive the piece out of the bushing and the overall lack of access to a couple of the plugs. The best part was that my brother-in-law is a 25 year autobody veteran and had tons of knowledge and experience. Who would have thought that a car so small can have so many connections!
