Best advice one can get for an Aveo!

I bought my 06 LS last July for (a generous) $500 bucks with a broken belt. $1850 later, I have a daily driver after doing ALL the labor myself, with the exception of some machine work. Now had the P-O installed a timing kit last Feb when he had the belt changed, I am pretty sure he would still be driving this LS. Moral of the story: A failed pulley was what sent this car to the crusher, fortunately I was able to snag it before it made it there.

Well, most of the engine has been repaired now.
      New timing belt
      New water pump
      New thermostat housing
      Prestone flush and refill

      660 CDN$ +tx.

As for the the High Idle, I think it got fixed with a relearn procedure.

Next step : repair the sway bar bushing and end-links.

After that, my car should be good to make it to 300,000km with minor maintenance.
      Thx for the comments.
