how did they take em off with out the lug nut key
Sorry for your loss
that made my heart just drop from my ever shrinking faith in humanity. This is one of the reasons I hate to spend any money of cars as scum like those who did that are always around.
I hope who ever did that gets caught.
I'm guessing they had it. I park in the same spot every day, it's not hard to see the key pattern, then look online to find it. Once they have it... they know where the car will be.. it's been there daily for about 4 years now.Quote:

****TARDS!!!!
****in lowlife bastards! One of the main reasons I moved out of NYC.
You don't need the key, I had a car with 4 different locking nuts on it and I didn't have any keys. I hit it with a chisel and handle 3 times to crack it and took em' off with channel-locks. Or you can just pound a remover on and put a socket on it available at any local auto parts store unfortunently. Sorry dude.
wtf...they really messed up the sides
its easy to steal rims with some tools (larger socket and a hammer). That is horrible though, they didnt even use blocks...how much did you have in these shoes?
start checkin your local craigslist and ebay
yeah craigslist, you could buy them back :lol:Quote:

you could claim this theft on your taxes next year if you needed to though...
Yeah no ****, maybe get a good deal... I'm already checking Craigslist.. more like it's checking for me every couple of hours and sending the results to me VIA RSS... along with local newspapers, local forums and a few other places.Quote:

time to beat some heads.
thats bull****
hell, you could find them on craigslist, get the persons address, and go steal their rims. If they fit, put them on the Aveo 8)
I'm not going to steal anything from anyone. Karmas a bitch. If they show up on craigslist, I'll get them back. They are easy to ID and I don't think I have ever seen them in that size in this town... not that color combo anyway.Quote:

the same ones you had before, or stock wheels?
The same wheels and tires as before. The 15" Rota Circuit 8 with 205/50/15 Kumho SPT's.Quote:

when i had 20's on my mustang, i put a chain through the spokes and around the strut back through the spoke to a pad lock.
lol nice, never heard of that before. Thats not a bad idea at all really.
Glad you got your shoes back, they could have just asked you for the wheels, no reason for stealing....
Body shop bill came to $2800... I'm currently rocking an Impala... had a Mazda 6, but it broke down.. the day I picked it up. Not the mazdas fault, the battery has been neglected and had massive buildup.
Any good news yet? You got it back?
They had a hard time finding the tires, tried to get the lesser ASX or AST, but after some conversation I had them get some BFG G-Force Sport which should hold up pretty well even with my spirited driving. Some how he interpreted track and autoX as spinning the tires off a stoplight... um... no, totally different.
Still in the shop, I'm not too concerned, I have my rental and haven't setup the cameras yet anyway.
To the comment about at least they will be new... well, I was only missing a center cap and had a slight scratch and slight curb rub on one wheel... they were in like new condition anyway. Nothing good is coming from this at all... Hell, even the tires were new so it's not like I'm saving $$ on tires.
your all forgetting about the gatorgrip socket. it fits anything its size and smaller. and it works too, i had a brainstorm one day when i couldnt find the key to my own rims.
about that tire theft sensor. make sure you spend some good money on one. my buddy had one on his car and as a prank i removed his wheels, put the car on jack stands, and chained his rims to the porch. his alarm never went off. it was either cheap, or im damn good lol
I added this to my blog entryQuote:

Yeah, we sell a kit like that at the place I work. Works on aftermarket and stock OEM wheel locking nuts. For 50$ you get all the wheels you want.
Thieves should be beaten to death! This is exactly why I park inside a locked garage and lock the car. Yeah, I know sometimes we have to park outside, so maybe a high res camera and automatic flood lights could help.
Yeah, I'm moving the flood lights to the front since my Neighbor just upgraded his and I no longer need them on the entry way. The front of my place is a little dark. Also a night time camera hooked to a PC Based DVR is going in. The cameras are about $50 and the USB adapter is about $20 on Ebay. I might even add a speaker.Quote:

It's vegas.. In the 3 years I have lived in the current house, there has been that issue with my wheels and one more where my old roomates car got a board through the back window. All said, for 3 years, it's not very bad.Quote:

lol still, stock esclade rims are worth more than some cheap koing rims. Hell, they would steel honda steelies before me lol. Just get some heat and keep an eye on your car, anyone comes around, scare them off
