What kind of price are you looking at with those "heavily discounted" cars? And also, say hello to Wolf when you're up in Alaska...

2006 Chevrolet Aveo a.k.a. Holden Barina – SOLD
2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS/TC - SOLD
I always consider it a copy when it's not made at the same location or by the same people.Originally Posted by Roadtrippa

As long as you sign up for premium onstar service for the month/months you're doing your big road trip so you can contact them when you break down... or call to order pizza.
And $9000 is not a bad price at all for a brand new car like that...

It's heavily discounted (as it should be) because it has already depreciated in terms of resale value; meaning you won't get too much for it when you sell it - but who knows? If gas eventually hits 5, 6, 7, dollars a gallon, even used Aveos might have 'value added' to their resale appeal. But it's hard to go wrong at that price, considering the 3 year full coverage warranty will be in effect from the date you buy it.Originally Posted by serega12
Offer the dealer $8,200. Make him squirm... After all, for Chevy it's a tough sell, and ultimately they gotta unload 'em.
buy serega's car instead on your trip :P
Road trips are your hobby?
Based on the millage on the Hyundai, you won't have to stress the re-sale. Cars are worth sh.. at that distance.
Doesn't sound like a bad deal, but I would try to get another $1000 off the price, just for the h... of it.
