Towing With A 2 Door Hatchback Aveo (Holden Barina TK in Australia)

      Hello From Australia,

First post and im sure wont be the last.

I just love my car - however I would like to tow a jetski with it. naturally i cant find the hitch required in Australia, however my sister lives in LA and could send it to me.

Could anyone please help me in stop pulling whats left of my hair out anymore!

I know it an old topic
I know I shouldnt blah blah blah

But I know it can be done - any help would be greatly apprciated! A link would be even better!

Thanks Guys - Your Jnr Member down under!

      Daniel

Buddy of mine has an 06 hatch and he would tow all kinds of stuff with it. As long as you dont tow anything huge i would imagine a jetski would be fine

just put a hitch on mine this month, plan to pull a lil fold up trailer my dad gave me. a Jetski should be no problem. I bought my hitch from u haul for around $100.00 dollars. Made by CURT CURT Manufacturing | Hitches Is a link, maybe you can order or find a dealer to ship you one . GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME TO THE CLUB. HAPPY MOTORING!!

I researched this a while back and found some great material on this forum, have to check #35 again That beefy curt hitch looks pretty sweet, for the hatch it was the choice.
on a side note yakima makes a pretty sweet gear trailer for lighter stuff its waay pricey. found a local trailer manufacturer that will make an all alumimum setup that is about as light a trailer as one can get that can tow about as much as this transmission and brakes can handle (with low profile tires) which was guessed at around 800lbs, for mountain pass towing.
