      Transmission, Torque converter problem

I got a Chevy Aveo that was going to end in the junk yard, I decided to give it another chance. After replacing the engine, I forgot to check the famous clicks on the torque converter, this is an automatic transmission. The transmission when in very tie that the engine did not turn at all, then I did realized my mistake so I removed all the screws from the engine/transmission but I do not have enough space to play with the torque converter to push it an turned. I'm afraid that I have to remove the transmission. So my question is: Any hints on how to reset the torque converter without taking out the transmission or what is the best way to take the transmission out?

      Thanks

Would you mind posting how you fixed it? While this problem doesn't affect me, I will say this:

There is nothing more annoying than when you are scouring the web on how to fix something, you find someone with the EXACT same problem you have, and all they post back with is "Never mind, I fixed it" without saying how.

You find this a TON in computer forums too, and it's always an obscure problem that you spent hours searching how to fix.

I did spent about 1 hour trying to find some directions on google, then I spent about 1 hour fighting with the engine and the transmission here is what I did.

      1. I did put a jack on the transmission and Engine

      2. Remove the starter

      3. unscrew all bolt around the transmission bell housing and the 3 bolts from the converter to flywheel.

      4. Unscrew the bottom and top transmission supports

5.Get a pry bar to separate the transmission from the engine as much a you can, stick a 2x4 block to prevent the transmission from returning to its original position

      6. Turn the torque converter as fast as you can, I did try doing it slowly to listen to the 3 click that many websites mention but could not heard anything and I couldn't push it in. When I started turning it as fast as I could (about 40 rotations) it didn't click but it got to the right position and depth, a little bit more than one inch.

      7. Assemble everything and you are done.
