I used silicone I to mount them though, I'm starting to find out that stuff is one hell of a multipurpose glue.
silicone is the next duct tape

no, think of it this way, 4300k are white and bright like bmw and benz, 6000k is really white, 8000k is blue, 10000k is blue/purple, and 12000k is purple.

the farther you get from 4300K the kooler it looks and the less usable light you actuly get

      Edit:

      posted same time as denis?

4.5-6k is what is OEM on most cars.

any higher than that starts getting bluer and then violet
lower than 4.5 turns yellow or orange?

i think below 3000k and above @11000k decreases visiblity below halogen.

4300k is the ideal output for brightness. Any higher or lower and it will decrease light output.

Not exactly, a 4300K will put out 3100lm...more than 3x brighter than halogen. A 12000K will put out 2000lm which is still more than 2x brighter than halogen. I would reccomend a 6000K kit for form and function, but for color 8000K is the way to go. I have 12000K purple right now in mine and it looks nice and is brighter than stock halogen bulbs, but if you go HID you want all the light you can get.

6000K is bright-ass white with slight blue-ish tint. 8000K is like cyan blue but not as bright.

When I ordered mine they came with reflectors attached to them. Most people take them off so their lights are brighter but if you leave the reflectors on it reflects the light out not up. I haven't had a problem yet.
