I have the 6000k kit on my car like I said earlier in the thread. There is a blue tint to them, they are a little bluer than white but not as blue as 8000k. They give you the best visibility and looks out of all of them from what I have seen, that's why I went with the 6000k. I actually ordered 8000k but then switched to 6000k at the last minute just because of that.
I would order the 6000k again for any car.
My set also came with the reflectors as well. Oh and OEM is definately not in the 6000k range, I have never seen in my life OEM lights as blue as 6000k. OEM is 4300k and maybe up to 5000k and thats it lol. Even up close the 6000k are still slightly blue, from a distance all I have to say is wow. People here tell me that they can't quite see my car but they can always pick me out of everyone because of my lights.
You can always go 30000k, I think that's what it is, and get the green ones, but that would just give you headaches lol.
Aiming has nothing to do with it. When you put a bulb not designed to go into a specific housing, you will be causing someone on the road pain when they drive toward you. The little reflectors will help but it will not remove it completely.Originally Posted by flaveo5
My personal opinion is that people that do this are very selfish and give off a "**** the other drivers" attitude.

I'd fit right in around here if I blinded everyone on the road. People put HID's in their trucks then lift them 8" and don't adjust the headlights. But on the other hand, it's usually secondary highways with hardly any traffic that I travel on. And not to be selfish, but I'd rather give the other guy 5 seconds of glare than drive 3 hours in low light.
That is selfish. Alot can happen in 5 seconds traveling 40-60MPH (73-110 ft traveled without seeing). High beams in the Aveo are very good. I just use those.Originally Posted by 07_aveo

I have encountered countless cars with various HID systems that didnt come from the factory, they dont bother me at all.
What bothers me is the f***ng idiot you encounter with their highbeams that dont take them off even if you flash them, or the idiot thats in your ass with highbeams.
HID's arent that bad.

Yeah, most people with HIDs leave there high beams on when cruising at night to make there lights look brighter. It's a dick move. I have the reflectors in mine and they put out a nice flat line of light that does not flash people in the eyes. BTW how do you adjust the angle of your lights on the aveo? I have an 09'.

Not to be a party pooper, but Aveodude is right. Your housings are not designed for HID period. I don't care what you say about adjusting, reflectors, etc., HID and standard bulbs produce light differently and putting an HID bulb in a standard housing produces a scattered light and blinds people. THIS IS ILLEGAL and selfish. NO AFTERMARKET HIDs are legal, nor are any DOT approved, because they have to submit the entire light fixture and they can't because they only sell the bulb and ballast. PERIOD. Do your research, or better yet ask your local law enforcement. Now the debate over blue and purple producing better visability is another farce...but when you pay money for something, you WANT it to be brighter....just like those "blue" halogens....like silver stars...OMG...Good quality halogens work great.
It's not an argument...it's the law. Check it out.Originally Posted by flaveo5
