Did you even read anything I posted. You have less useable light than a halogen. And 12K doesn't even exist, but oh yeah, you bought 12K right? And your trained professional eye can tell that it is better lighting, right? How about the distant lighting that is less with this "retrofit", or the scattered light...oh yeah refelctors fix that.

As for the wanton disregard for law, well let me inform you. I guess you haven't lived long enough, or no one taught you proper social skills, but we live in a civilized society (at least in the US), and civilized societies have laws for reasons. Aren't some of you guys the same ones who promoted stealing from junkyards in another thread? Well my tax dollars will be paying for your room and board some day, so make good use of the time while there.

To sum it up, I made a post, was called out and told to go learn something then come back and was told I was ranting. I came back with information to back up my claim, and the best you can come up with is name calling??? Or telling me not to post in a thread. That is about the most immature thing I have heard in a while. I offered useful factual information so people don't fall victim the the bull**** kits that are sold that are not only illegal, they are worse that halogens. You are going to have to do better than that next time.

      Enjoy your 12K lights LMFAO

Hey, dont bring me into this.

If you want hids, put em in, understand the risks you are running tho. If you dont want hids, then dont put em in. Its simple.

This thread was about a member trying to help people out by showing a kit that is in his opinion, decent for the money. Lets try to get back to that subject or just leave it alone.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

Yes aveoRob I read all 12 f-ing paragraphs of your useless bitching about a type of headlight? Do you really have nothing beter to do? Like I said, nobody cares. And yes I knew 12000K was the dimmest bulb when I ordered it, I wanted the color and if I piss a$$holes like you off when I'm on the road then I guess I kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Get over yourself, you're not that fv(k1n6 smart or else you wouldnt be picking a fight, over the internet, about HID headlights, with aveo owners none-the-less. lol you are pathetic.

You know what they say about opinions Mike.....

I should have known better. I just now looked at the profiles of the haters and they are kids...18..20..you guys can't even buy alcohol yet. Are you still virgins too?

In my line of work we deal with data driven decisions, based on facts and empirical evidence, not opinions, especially from a kid. I don't think misinformation should be put out without the facts. Like you said Mike, if they do it knowingly, that is on them, but they need to know. And the fact is, the lighting in a retofit is worse that OEM.

Some reputable forums I frequent will not even allow you to post something that is illegal or unethical, such as how to bypass a safety feature of a vehicle. Hmmmm.wonder why...Liability? Like I said before, be careful because even claiming ignorance is not an excuse, and your insurance company will not honor a claim if they find the lights to have any effect on the accident...

Can anyone argue what I am saying on a mature level. Not name calling, not "I don't care", "F the world" "ME ME ME", but with facts. Show me the improvement. Show me the statistics. Show me the tests.

Yes, you are right. You know the saying:

"Never argue with idiots, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

      Guess you got me.

      Re: Very Nice Cheap H.I.D.'s

In that case I appologize for lowering myself to your level. You and your HID rambling can have it all back to yourself. We are off topic. The point is yes you may be correct about the laws of HID's and that's fine if you dissapprove of them. Some people are for them and some people are against them, that will not change. I for one love the appearence and quality of HID's and don't feel like I'm sacrificing any light quality. And for the price of $70 HIDs it's not much more than a set of silverstar ultras. That's the only point I was trying to make. There is no question that your light quality will increase with a proper set projector lenses if you use HID's or even regual halogen bulbs. Personally I like HIDs and they do not make a projector for an 09 aveo, if they did I would have them.
