"rolling acceleration"... hmm... I think last time I got pulled over for that I got charged with street racing which later was reduced to "reckless driving" since many thins didn't add up in their story. And it was in a VR6 Corrado, they thought I wanted to race a Civic... (I'd eat him alive) First thing she asked me (the police officer) was "what car was next to you", "I don't know, some Honda Civic" I replied... bad answer. "Oh, so you know what kind of car was next to you and he ran, you must be racing him!!!"... The rest is history...

Rabbit- that'd be a pretty rare car to have in North America. I think a few guys brought them in though, or did AWD conversions.

reddemon - all my Metro mods have been fuel economy related. (In my world "performance" can mean speed, or it can mean efficiency. )

But you can find guys doing lots of speed/handling mods to Metros on http://teamswift.net - the OEM turbo motors are sought after, for example.

I get upset at the fact my car seems to feel liek a wind up toy.. compared to all the other hatches out there that are superbly faster than our aveos...

Not Nemasys' car... Aveo with 2.0L turbocharged... I'd call that an unfair advantage figuring that our cars are much lighter than many cars with that much HP..

By the way, how's ElCentro this time of year? Blue Angels over there practicing their shows?

I think the air show just passed not to long ago.. I didnt get to go because of work.. Like always. Im glad its over because they would fly over my fkning house at night in the morning all day! it was retarded loud

I think that in a car of this class the mpg is the most important. at least to me.... for speed or things like that there are other vehicles to buy then the aveo.... but then again why... you can tweek these cars enough to do what you want and not break the bank, to bad anyway
