I always wondered that myself.
Cruise control is actually on the steering wheel, and fog/driving lamps are on the headlight switch.
Maybe they are there for symmetry?
Has anybody done anything with those two black covers??????
you can turn these into functional switches by using the hazard button switch part... as far as I know, they never used them for anything out of the factory.
I wondered that myself since I got the car. Kind of a silly thing.
What could you make them into switches for?
If you had a turbo, you could put the little gauge for it in one of those spots. Otherwise, I think they are just there to look cool.
You could put a pushbutton start as one of them.
(nitrous for the other :) ha ha)
its so close to the head unit I was thinking about finding tweeters to fit in there, unfortunately they are mounted in a place where it would look somewhat ugly and the sound quality wouldn't be great because of their position.
Its for the factory installed passenger eject buttons. Only available in more shady spots in the world.
Hmmmm. How about a pair of fake eyeballs!
