You can get some different cams from xiaogary. He's a member on this board still, but I dont think he checks it often. Probably better to PM him on daewootech.comOriginally Posted by dmeech

Or look him up on Ebay. If he has something listed on Ebay, he replys quicker.
i'd like to see lowering shocks that matches the lowering spring

I know right? Common sense would tell suspension companies that if they offer lowering springs, they should probably offer a shock for them that won't blow out after 50K.Originally Posted by trempus

but now i'm wondering if i could cut the spindle on the stock shock to match the amount of drop of the spring, and just retap it to match the original threads
this way the piston itself would still sit at the right position in the cylinder

With the mention of high comp pistons in here, I figured I would mention that you can get them from http://www.importperformanceparts.net
The opel x16xe pistons/rods fit our cars. Just wanted to put that out there.
Thanks Matt. Thats actually another point I had in making this thread. I'm sure there is stuff out there, its a global platform after all. But, a lot of members don't know everything that is available.
Don't do this...I personally don't believe in altering the structural integrity of suspension parts for look. Just wait, Petrified.Rabbit just got his 3-axis mill almost hooked up yesterday, so we should have coilovers in no time. I almost dropped all my coilover money saved though last night for some "1552" 15x8 VW Snowflake replicas for the Aveo. It was the most tempting thing I've encountered in a while.Originally Posted by trempus

i'm not really interested in coilovers
personally i prefer springs
although i would be interested in buying a used set of lowering spring if someone upgrades to the coil over *hint *hint
