Right now I have a gig in SC writing Firmware for Electrical Metering Products. I love my job and I get to do really cool things. I have worked for several failed attempts at GreenTech and I hope this thing works for me. My past job history is all over the place. I worked for 6 years in the control industry as a tech. That means I can run conduit, wire and work from your regular home AC to Campus Wide System. I am not refrigeration mechanic but damn close.
While I was working at IBM (I don't have good things to say about them) I was working part time at Lowes HW to make ends meet. I got to drive all the heavy lifting equipment. Driving a forklift is fun and dangerous as hell!
I have owned a three small cars: two beetles and the aveo. I have worked on my beetles as my Granddad owned a VW repair shop. So learned from the BEST! Thanks PawPaw! I also owned a truck and replaced the engine myself when it blew.
I usually work on my own cars out of necessity as the mechanic charges are too much and I can do the work myself. I had a new engine put into my truck (I hated the junk yard engine) and got a professional shop to do it. I really regretted it. I wanted to spend 3.5K to replace the engine and end up spending 6K and very unhappy with the work.
I want to upgrade my aveo as it's fun and I really want to promote small cars and matching the car for the mission. I live in the South where everybody's one-person SUV is in my way.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....
I am a Quality Engineer for a Tier 1/2 Automotive supplier in Ohio.
I've had so many jobs I can say i've done everything, but my passion is law enforcement, I worked for Anahein PD as a metter maid, Paramount as a school police officer and Long Beach PD, also semi-tractor driver and now working in the oil field, great money but I hate it, but for now will have to do.Hopefully the wife's new carrer as a writer will take off soon(she's got 5 books under contract already) and I can find something else to do that I will enjoy, maybe build custom parts for the Aveo and sell it to the guys in this forum! LOL

what parts are you thinking need made? i've made a couple..
hopefully you want to do bodykits or something, that too big (and unnecessary) for me to bother with..
there are jobs all over pittsburgh if you guys are willing to relocate. i'm not looking myself though.
I dont have a shop yet, but for now my garage doubles as one, I would need more tooling to make parts, I got quite a bit of tools but theres always something else u need, like a metal lathe and pipe benders, a english wheel, u know... I worked with fiberglass before too. Not sure what I would make, Im thinking I would tacle a rear disc brake conversion first, try to make it as cheap and easy to install as possible.
