I'm an industrial designer and I work for a company that makes geared products (gearboxes & gears) mostly for mining applications like rock crushers and conveyor belts. I work in new product development where we design and test new products. The company's claim to fame is we've made the largest gear in the world. It is 43 ft in diameter and is being used in a mine in Chile I believe.
Here are a few pics off the company website:
cool, that was right before a storm hit us that knocked the power out for the entire terminal for over 24 hours except for our guardhouse that regained power 2 hours after the initial outage. It was awesome being the only ones in the terminal with ac. (the facebook link one page back)

ok ok. so i am a proud memeber of the fort hood military post. "the great place" as so they always say at the gate. i work as a store manager and a driver at the fort hood pizza hut. we are the busiest pizza hut in the world. and one of the top busiest pizza restrauant in the country. hard to believe but u have no idea what high demand pizza is to soldiers and being on the largest and biggest military post in the world. its a crazy challenging butt busting job. but i love it cause i love busy busy busy and to serve our troops as i was a military brat my whole life i cant imagine my life without the military so i surround myself in it even after my dads retirement n me going my sepereate way as an adult....i love my job in a sense i just hate the people i work with lol and sometimes those reeeeallly iritating complaining customers. i work 6 days a week almost 10 hour days. i also drive in which i make almost 100 a night. so im making almost 1000 every two weeks . 600 for regular pay and 400 in tips. not bad also another reason i stay. its just easy money. n going home every night with cash in hand from tips. is addicting and helps me alot when it comes to paying bills on time and stuff for my car mostly......so there you go.
i also was a couple blocks away and stuck inmy store for an entire day due to those 11-05-09 it was a tough day and alot of people here on the military base is senstive over it.
