      What floorjack do you use?

I'm looking for a floorjack for the Aveo. And Found a bunch of different manufacturers making jacks for about $150.00 us (street price).
I like the aluminum ones (I assume they are light weight - not that it matters really). What do you use?

the only thing i have found with aluminum jacks is if they have the single front wheel, instead of two individual wheels, if the floor isn't completely level it is very easy for the to start to twist while jacking up the car. put usually you can just pull the arm to "turn" the jack to fix that, other than that i have never had a problem with them.

      i have and use:

Craftsman professional aluminum 3 ton jack (older model)
Craftsman professional steel 3 ton jack (older model)
hein warner 10 ton floor jack
AFF low rider 2 ton floor jack works from under 3 inches off the ground for my lowered cars.

i am happy with them all. the AFF just is probably the cheaper high quality "low" jack i could find at the time and gets under almost everything i have.

Craftsman jacks go on sale routinely at Sears and a steel 3-ton can be had for $79.99. Check the ads for the special "Saturday before noon" sales.

I remember Harbor Tool and Freight having some inexpensive Aluminum Jacks. Everything there eventually goes on sale.

harbor Freight aluminum jack. only needs about 3.5" and lasted nearly 2 years of weekly use. That's a while considering how many installs I do.

Craftsman jack with stands usually go on sale every other month. And hey, it's a Craftsman if it breaks.
