      Wheel upgrade

There any many directions to go for a wheel upgrade. Used OEM, aftermarket, NOS, etc.
I chose NOS OEM Chevrolet Spark wheels. These have the correct hub bore size and backspacing for our cars. They also have an increased wheel diameter of 15” over the OEM 14” steel wheels that were on it.
The old ones were upgraded because they had become bent over the years.
These were a good choice for durability and economy of price.

I just bought the cheapest alloys I found on the internet, which were 14" from a Honda Civic 5th gen. (Enkei brand) hatchback, and cost me the hefty sum of 40$ (10$ each).

I eventually had to grind the hub bore a bit (56,1 to 56,6 mm.), but it fit ok now.

I regret not going to 15" when I had the chance, as I think the car would handle better with lower profile tyres.

It’s not much of a difference. But the 15” tires have better availability and price.
