Wifes new 2012 Aveo err, I mean Sonic!

      Hey Everyone,
Sorry I havent posted in a while. Works been really crazy and lately I've been sucked into Cruzetalk.com. I supposed its better than being sucked into the Vortex. Anyway may I introduce to you all my wifes new 2012 Sonic with the Connectivity package. A little picture of her Aveo next to her new Sonic. Picked it up last Thursday. A changing of the guard!

Thanks for the posts on the car! To answer everyones questions at first look of the car clearly its wider and and just an inch taller than the 07 hatchback. When you get in the car theres more headroom and width. My wife and I werent sitting as close as we wouldve in the older one. It drives and handles the road really nicely. You can definitely feel the extra weight in the car and it does make quite a difference in road feel. As far as plus and minuses to the car on the plus side much better crash rating which gives me a better peace of mind with my wife in the car. On the minus side I really miss the simplicity of the older Aveos both my wife and I had. I think, and please bear in mind that these are only my opinions because my wife hasnt chimed in yet, that there is way to much going on in the Sonic, and the Cruze, for the eyes to track. Digital this, and USB that, knobs and buttons everywhere. I really miss the simpleness of my 04 Sedan but alll the upgrades really make it more endurable. My wifes car has all the options the Cruze has including a few more.

Perfomance parts for the Cruze? Well so far I have the ZZP down-pipe and mid-pipe leading out to the Borla exhaust, Ultra-Racing front and rear strut mounted stabilizer bars, Trifecta tune, Turbotech Racings upper poly engine and trans mount and an Injen CAI with K & N Filter. I've probably spent about $2500.00 so far in upgrades. Whats planned? Turbotech is developing an intercooler setup. So thats next. As far as the 1.8L turbo kits are concerned I know we have been talking with the various supporting vendors on the Cruzetalk website about it. I know its in the works right now. I have the 1.4L Turbo engine.

Hey Hunteroo, It sure would be interesting to see what the 1/4 mile time would be just out of pure curiosity. However most of my time is spent on an interstate doing a 140 mile roundtrip per day commute. I will tell you this it certainly does feel much more peppy than stock and it is nice to feel the additional pull when going thru the gears. It was never my intentiont to "race" the thing. In the beginning all I bought was the Ultra Racing front and rear strut bars which dramatically improved the handling on the car and then I was going to stop right there. I went a little farther than I ever intended too.

I have a tendency to agree with you on that! That seems to be the case!
