2006 Chevrolet Aveo a.k.a. Holden Barina – SOLD
2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS/TC - SOLD
Mainly I bought the car just because it was small, reliable, and excellent on gas when at that time the fuel was getting kind of expensive. The car now has less than 30K miles and no major problems up to date therefore I'm pretty happy with it even my boyfriend likes it and was amazed how so much aftermarket stuff its available for it compared to his, the only thing that sucks its how slow it is when I sometimes I race with my boyfriend's Stratus R/T but other than that I'm good.
When I first bought my Aveo, it was just a cheap car to drive back and forth to school so I didn't have to put the miles on my Camaro. But now that I've had it for 6 months, I love my Aveo. It doesn't get the best gas mileage, but its a fun, cheap car that I can screw around with a lil bit, and it's reliable to get me back and forth. My mom drove it around for a few days while I was borrowing her van to transport my toolbox and she had a blast in it. It's not a super fast car, or an exotic car, but it is an affordable, fun to drive vehicle that I don't mind messing around with.
E-Teeecchhhhhhh!!!!!
even though I am slowly but surely customizing my 04 aveo, I really dont like it. the only reason I bought it was it has 4 doors with cold air and a manual trans and it was only $2500. rims, a painted stripe down both sides, full stereo, and lowering it, I like what ive done just not the car
Sounds like you bought all the problems associated with a $2500 car more than all the problems associated with an aveo. The maintenance is the more important part of a cheap car, and i am willing to be, whoever was selling it off wanted to get rid of it because they did nothing and knew a bunch of stuff was about to fail.
I've had my Aveo since new when I bought it July 2004. I now have 115000 miles on it and have no problems with it at all. I recently did left side front wheel bearing and a right side lower ball joint but thats it. Other than that its been regular oil changes. Its been a great car!
