0300 code, hold button and engine lights flashing

Apparently these symptoms have a huge, expanding list of potential issues. When the cel and hold button are flashing, the car is stuck in one particular gear. Anyone have this issue? Should i get rid of this POS?

Do you have the hold button engaged? Its supposed to hold what gear you're in...

A 0300 code and a flashing CEL is indicatives of a misfire. Check plugs, wires, battery, clean IAT sensor, clean throttle body, etc.

I haven't done anything with it. Has 60xxx. I might just replace coil pack and plugs, also checking the valve cover gasket. At which point i'l check slayerized6 suggestions.

At 60k, its probably your coil pack. Simple removal and install too. Let us know what happens.

Today the girlfriend drove the car. It sort of momentary lost power through a turn. I read somewhere that this could be a symptom of debris stuck in the fuel system. Anyone also hear anything like this?

Combustion is made through air, fuel, and spark. Is it possible you have debris in your tank? Yes. But it can also be 50+ other things as well.

AC Delco is OEM if you want the best. But I've been using a Standard Products coil for over a year now without a problem.
