So I have a couple codes but this is the one im having a hard time with...P0742 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Stuck On? Ummmm what? I found a couple things talking about sensors and maybe changing trans oil/filter and a good flush but not sure. Please if anyone can help id appreciate any and all comments. Thanks.
Other codes I got..P0122 P0700 P1791 P1122...I changed the Throttle Position Sensor and thats as far as ive gotten. Thanks.
Not sure how mechanically inclined you are but check the valve body to make sure none of the valves are sticking...the other codes seem to all be related to throttle position...could need a ckp relearn, or possibly the TPS circuit has a problem? Whats the car actually doing? Or not doing?
The car is a little jerky in shifting and wont go into 4th/overdrive it stays in 3rd gear. Im not the most mechanicaly incline but can do the work I just need to try and narrow it down and for some what cheap. Dont have a whole lot of money.
If the transmission downshifts, this problem may arise.
