'09 Aveo engine swap - PITA

So where do I begin.....oh yes, well I have an excellent topic for us to talk about and possible asking for a lot of questions and posting a lot of pictures. First off this is my very first Chevy, I've anyways had Asian or German made vehicles. Now back to what I'm doing, it's a complete engine swap, the old engine has roughly 99k and is a complete wreck, I have pictures just for you to get an idea. So far though, it's your every day basic car, no power windows, no power doors, no On-Star, no cruise control, no power mirrors, just basic automatic get to work car. I've worked on Bugs, like 1973 Super Beetles and done full restorations and rebuilds, but not a Chevy, and so far it's a PITA, so bad that this engine is going straight to the junkyard when it's out. The T45 drain bolt for the oil is complete stripped, the transmission oil was BLACK!!!! Not brown like it's getting old. Well so far, I got a lot e of pictures on how to get started, what to take off and so forth. I'll get more information tomorrow when we go to take it out. But for now, here is a picture of the oil filter.
