      10.5:1 compression pistons

      So, I finally got the price of the pistons and shipping for the Vauxhaul Corsa 1.6L pistons (10.5:1). They should be an direct swap, and there for get a high compression.

      I will be ordering them in about two weeks.
      Does anyone want to go in and get some?

      It will be cheaper if you get them now, instead of waiting and paying 100%of the shipping.

      Right now the total cost for me is $374.
      If anyone goes in with me the shipping will be cheaper, therefore the price will be cheaper.

      any takers?

      ah ****.
      I was using the wrong currency to convert.

      I was using the euro, when it should have been pounds sterling (GBP)

      So here are the new prices, That I'm scared to even type...

      Pistons = 193 GBP = $403.21
      Shipping = 96 GBP = $200.50

      Grand Total = $603.71

      Now I'm wondering If I should even get them, or try to find some place in the states that can make custom pistons. I believe there was a company that I saw on daewootech someone posted.

      Back to the drawing board.

      Yeah but if I remember right there's a 4 month wait. If you know Garrett on the forums it sounds like he might start selling rods/pistons due to the demand on the forenza/reno forums for turbo pistons

      There are many places that can make pistons though, so who know what company has a 4 month wait....

      I was looking at Import Performance Parts and they can make me Wiseco pistons with pins and plasma moly rings from Import performance parts for $548.

      Or get the engine kit for the Corsa 1.6 from IPP for $879 with includes Complete Gasket Set, Wiseco Forged Pistons (79, 79.5, 80mm bore) and (8.8-1, 10.5-1, 11-1 comp), Performance Wrist Pins, Performance Rings, TOGA HP Main Bearings, TOGA HP Rod Bearings, TOGA HP Valve Seals, and Head Bolts

      What should I do?
      Probably the kit because it comes with bearings gaskets and headbolts, the parts will probably hold up a hell of a lot better.... and thats what I want.
      Sound good?

      well im gonna do one of the two.
      It wont be until spring when I install all this stuff though. cause im spending between 1200 and 1500 on parts, plus 1500 for the installation of everything.

      So im planning on buying all the stuff by christmas, then install them in maybe march(ish)

      Im just planning everything out, looking around for best prices and everything.

      aaahhh i also should have been more specific lol, do the kit with the gaskets and everything, that way you wont have to buy these things down the road and say, "gee i wish i woulda just bought the kit." and remember, this is your build up, might as well get your **** done now and not have to worry too much about it later.
