      1st gear lockout

I assume the 1st gear lockout is controlled by the ECM?? Anyone know how to bypass it, change it or physically remove it?

We have a lot of stops between home and work and, yeah, I do a few rolling stops, but even when I'm crawling (walking speed) a lot of the time it still won't let me back into 1st without double-clutching. It's just plain annoying... I know it's there as sort of a safety, but not letting me into 1st at a crawl is ridiculous.

that's the synchro hating you, not the lockout. Match the speeds or don't downshift... your transmission will thank you for it.

Even my Volkswagen does it and that has to have the smoothest transmission I've ever driven.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.
