2004 Aveo Engine Question

Hello,

I need an engine for my 04 Aveo Automatic...

What are my options as far as other years/models. Would one fit from a 2007 Wave?? I want plug and play no ECU swapping or anything like that.

Are you able to put an engine out of a manual car into automatic car by just swapping flywheel/flexplate??

there are a few threads on this, particularly DAOX's thread. you can use a newer engine, and keep the old computer, but you will need to swap the throttle body, the pcv system is different, and some other minor changes. You will also most likely have a CEL for the crank position or cam position sensor, but from people who have posted here, that will most likely happen whether you use an 04 engine or 07 engine..

I put an engine out of 05 swift. No check engine lights, it runs perfect.
