2004 aveo won't start

all the smoke coming out from under the hood should be a give away..

a used engine with install should run less than $2000. Any car you could buy for that will probably be a basket of problems as well.

Hmm blown housing is pretty obvious. I was had mine go and I didn't make it more than 15ft before it started smoking

I had this problem to:

Replace/Check the TPS, its a small piece behind the part where the whose connects from the air filter.

IT IS NOT:
The fuel pump
The battery
The clutch

There was a short from the wires connecting to this part.

CArefull! it's electrical so unhook the battery
