      2004 Chevy Aveo RPMs

Im new to the forum and would like a start a new thread asking you guys what the ideal/normal RPMs are in a 2004 Chevy Aveo. I just had the transmission computer replaced after seeing that the engine was at 4,000 RPMs while going 60mph. It has brought it down to around 2,500. Is this the normal amount of RPMs the engine should be running at?

^I have a 2010 manual and they have taller ratios so at 60 I'm at about 2750-2500

Saw your post and kept an eye on my tach on my drive to work today. I have a 2006 Aveo LT five speed. Along a long, straight, flat section of highway and with the cruise control set at 60mph, she was running around 2750-2800 rpms.

Thanks for the replies. After I replaced the motor with one from a 2005 Aveo I was unsure of the correct RPMs. I knew that the RPM's before were way too high. I looked averywhere until I decided to start a thread about it. THANKS FELLOW AVEO OWNERS.
