      Exclamation 2005 Aveo Coolant Leak

I am purchasing a 2005 Aveo that has a coolant leak at the back of the engine, almost certain it isnt the head gasket but am curious if there is anyone among here that can help me locate the issue or name it for me and possible give me pointers on fixing it.

As soon as coolant is put in the coolant container is leak immediately onto the ground from the back of the motor.. Owner assures me it is a plastic hose that these cars are known for...

      any help?

The plastic coolant pipe may be the culprit. May need to pull it from under the car with the head in your way. Or just the lower hose may be split, check it first. Be sure to follow up on the cause when you find it.

Yeah there is a pipe that runs to the heater from the head. you can access from underneath. It's very very difficult to reach.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

We found out it was not the plastic hose, it was the water pump and the head gasket... we have replaced the water pump timing belt etc... and in the middle of doing he head gasket... saying that we decided to do the value keys and now the lifters, but upon removal my husand didnt notice that the had holes in them, and now putting in back together he isnt sure if they should be placed specifially with the hole in a certain way... ideas?

      Buyer beware . I would run ! Fast !

Only way I would bite would be if he was just about giving it away .

You let it overheat , and that old a car , it would not be worth the cost to repair it .

But , if you are bound and determined , get a bright flashlight and a telescoping mirror .

      God bless
