2005 chevy aveo bogs down when on the throttle

I have a 2005 Chevy aveo it bogs down when your on the throttle but if I let off the throttle it evens out and it runs fine I also really have to step on the gas to get it to move.

I'm not sure what it is I've done an oil change, spark plugs, timing belt and water pump and a new air filter.

Is the check engine light on? Any other issues that don't seem normal? Automatic or manual?

No check engine light it is automatic and it had a new transmission put in it before I got it I've checked the transmission fluid and it's right where it should be.

How does the engine do when you rev it while the trans is in P or N? It it smooth and strong regardless of how fast or slowly you step on the gas pedal? If so, you might have an expectation, based on what you've driven in the past, that's just not going to happen with your Aveo. These 1.6L engines don't have any extra power to spare, and someone having driven other vehicles with a lot more HP may think it's performing poorly, when in fact it's actually just the way it is. Also, extra weight and/or AC can have a big impact on performance, as will climbing hills. And hopefully you're aware that the TCM places some limits on up-shifting and lockup until the transmission fluid reaches certain temps. So performance will seem to be that much worse if you try to get on it too soon after startup.
Now I'll also say that my daughter's '06 AT does seem to accelerate worse than my '05 manual transmission, even though I know for certain there is nothing wrong with her Aveo. But that's only if I try to push it a bit. For any normal driving it moves along just fine. So if you're thinking you have something that should be able dust off the other guys at the light, you have the wrong vehicle.

It idles a little rough in gear or not in gear I never use the a/c in the car I don't even know if my a/c even works I put the windows down and hit 65.

I'm not really hard on the throttle I always ease into the throttle but some times the car feels like it just dies while other times it fine and the gas pedal is hard like a brake pedal I have to lean into the throttle to get the car to get it going.

I kind of think it's either the throttle body is dirty or it needs a new throttle position sensor the car spent it's life only driving in the city and never taken out on the high way so it could really be anything.

Running rough not in gear indicates a problem. Did you find much oil in the spark plug wells when you changed them? One well known problem is plug wire problems due to sitting in oil for a long time. The only other thing that comes to mind is that nothing but short trips (and especially at lower speeds) isn't too good for modern vehicles. Maybe a period of time doing Italian tune-ups might help it out.

There was no oil at all in the spark plug wells and I always check my oil and the oil level is always right where it was when I changed it I use injector cleaner every 4 tanks of gas I'm hoping to take the car on a long run this weekend on a back county road.

I would take it out on the highway for a bit every now and then but I don't have my full drivers licence yet I'm hoping to get my full licence next month.

I got some throttle body cleaner and a new throttle position sensor and it feels a lot better you would not believe how much garbage came off the throttle plate it was black when I started now it's shiny and my hard gas pedal is gone now it wants to go and the hesitation at idle is gone as well.
