Good afternoon,
The clutch on my 2007 Aveo is slipping. This is the second clutch I've had in the car, the original lasted 90,000 miles and this one lasted about 50,000. Is there anything that could be checked that maybe minor (ie: low fluid, etc) before having it replaced. My mechanic wants between $1,000 and $1,500 to replace everything. I bought this car new in 2007 and have enjoyed it very much; however, because of the mileage, age and cost I don't know if it is worth it. (145,000 miles). It runs well and the body is in great shape (even for being in Wisconsin, we took really good care of it). I want to keep the car, and looking to get this done or fixed reasonably. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
