Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....
I just took my 2009 Aveo to the dealership with the P0171 code. They did short trim fuel resets. Had a bad "PCV baffle" in valve cover. They replaced the valve cover and it fixed the problem.
I’m trying to find the SAME for my 2011 Aveo5 and this or ANY thread I’ve seen on this forum was NO help…that picture of it near the throttle body is INCORRECT as there’s nothing there…
So I’ve already bought this part and it definitely SCReWS into something and doesn’t just sit inside a hose that I do know…
Any help appreciated!
If you have a USA/Canada 2009-2011 Aveo, the PCV valve is attached to the underside of the valve cover. You have to remove the valve cover to replace the PCV valve. It may just be easier to buy a brand new valve cover that comes complete with gasket and PCV valve. But since you have already bought the part, then it looks like you'll need to buy a new valve cover gasket too. If you want to see what this looks like installed, go to RockAuto, and look at the photos of the valve covers.

Looks like I will just hold on to it until ready to change the gasket good thing only $4 at Rockauto
