2011 engine for 2004 ?

Hi I have a 2011 aveo5 lt that the motor blew on. I also have a 2004 aveo that is just in bad shape ( body wise). I want to swap out the 2011 bad motor for the 2004.
My question is, is the 2004 engine compatible with the 2011?

I doubt it. There are a few topics on here with people that had 2004-2005 aveos that tried to put newer motors in. Almost every one had computer/electrical issues that could not be resolved.

Maybe I didn't say it right. I want to put the 2004 motor in the 2011

You could do just about anything if you have enough time and $$. And to put a 2004 into a 2011, you would need a good supply of both.

Same answer stands. Too many subtle differences.
