      3 mufflers under aveo?

So, even with the far back muffler taken off, my car is still too quiet. What are the 2 things located right before the pipe bends, after the cat? Are those 2 additional mufflers? I'm at a loss for what they are there for. Any insight would be great!

i've read the one in the tunnel, about where the gear shifter is, is a second cat. Not 100% sure about that. The second is a resonator.

It doesnt look like any cat I've ever seen, but that doesn't mean it isn't one lol. I dont see any o2 sensors or anything here so can I cut them out and just put straight pipe in and not have to worry about a stupid CEL?

that's because all of the O2 sensors are up front by the Exhaust manifold with the Cat. from what I can see in my Motor Crash Estimating Data book, there's the Cat, the Flexible Pipe that runs under the Engine so the Exhaust can move under load, the Resonator, and the "Suitcase" Back Muffler.

Yeah, except right before/after the resonator is something else, about the same size as the resonator. Im just wondering WTF it is. I just went out and took some pics, ill put them up in a second. After the first cat is a small ball-type thing. Then after that is the big-ass resonator. Also, i remember this round ball thingy being much larger. It for sure isnt a muffler...lol

No such thing! Probably cause I've done the loud exhaust. It gets old quicklly IMO.

On the other hand, I took a friend's Nissan Leaf (electric car) for a drive this summer. Eerily quiet (which is very cool IMO). All you hear is the crunch of stones below the tires... There isn't even hardly any wind noise at highway speeds.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that that unknown box is a second CAT as Rabbit said.
