for those of you (with CAIs) who want but cant necessarily afford the AEM bypass i found this alternative. dont know how well it works but its the same idea.

You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
works the same way, if you're intake is blocked by water (by being fully submerged), the bypass will not allow a negative pressure to build in the intake tube that would let water into the engine.
Also good if the intake a little restrictive, although the bypass will suck warm air, it's better to have warmer air than no air at all
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.
Ya, if you have a CAI you'll essentially turn it into an SRI... you'll probably pull 2/3 of the air through this bypass and only 1/3 through your cone filter. It's better than nothing if you flood the cone filter, but the AEM bypass is actually closed until a vacuum is created...
know one guy that this would have helped him out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You did WHAT? to your Aveo? HAHAHAHAHA
c'mon now, i think yall have flamed sam quite enough lmfao

ehh with that I don't see any point in having the lower cone filter then. You are going to lose a lot of pressure with that...

That's an great price for the AEM bypass!
will these even work with the AEM intake for us? It looks like one piece in the photos, unless I'm mistaken.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.
It adds a bit of length... you have to do one of 2 things:
1) You can use it in place of a coupler, but then you have to cut a bit of tubing off the end.
2) you can cut out a spot for it in the tubing itself.
yea, most people cut the intake for use... It's more designed for the hybrid intakes that can be either a Short Ram or Cold Air, but a simple hacksaw will do the same deal...
