I have a 2011 Chevy Aveo5. Has anyone replaced the valve that sits in the bottom of the oil filter canister, and what were the results? When this valve failed on my car it tanked the oil pressure. I ended up replacing it with a metal plug which seems to work fine. I did this because the dealer wanted a ridiculous $35 for a little piece of plastic with two springs. The purpose of this valve is to keep oil from draining out of the canister for start ups
I found a replacement Dorman 904-261. It's actually listed for a Ford F series. Why it's not listed as a replacement part for my car, I've no idea. Anyways, it seems to make no difference in the performance of my car, compared to the plug.
