I have the infamous ebay short ram intake on my Aveo and due to come hot and humid temperatures where I live, ive been losing power. My question is has anyone ever bought a heatshield for their intake? and does it work? And the cold air intake has me intrigued as well, just scared about hydrolock... Thanks again

I wouldn't worry too much about your short ram intake sucking in hot air. I've monitored intake air temps with my scangauge on a few cars with short ram intakes on them. As soon as you get moving, the air is close to ambient temperature.
