Try getting regular gas from a different station? It might be bad gas..

The aveo is supposed to be run on regular. Do the light blink at her or is it just on randomly? If it's blinking it's a misfire which is bad. If it just comes on and then goes out after another drive cycle it could be unrelated to the gas, but she should be using regular all the time.

From what I've gotten out of her, it just comes on from time to time, doesn't blink, but this only happens when she puts in regular. Premium seems to cure it. Even I told her the Aveo should run only on regular so, since it's still under warranty (She paid extra for an extended warranty), I advised her to take it back to the dealer. The car just passed 64,900 miles (she bought it with 59,xxx).
