Aveo 1.5 LS - More Power.

how do we get more power out of these engines.?

planning a G.O.A.T cause the short ram doing little when car is hot. when the air is cold the car performance is great.

just need some modifications tips on the 1.5 powerplant.

      thanx

Sorry for taking so long to response Daox.

I want the same power more or less than that of a 1.6L or 1.8L engine.

Not to much that i need a Turbo or Supercharger because my wife still drive the aveo.

      Thanx

just switching out the short ram for a cai would be good, plus a header and eliminating the restrictive exhaust.

yours is a single came correct? you could research putting a 16v head on. or just swapping the engine for a 1.6 or 1.8 if you can fine the corresponding setup.

Just do the normal stuff then. Cold air intake, exhaust, and a header... I dunno if any underdrive pulleys are available for that engine but thats an easy mod. Not carrying around tons of junk in the car and having big heavy wheels helps too. I don't know how heavy yours are but from the sig pic they don't look small. Next step would be to get a nitrous oxide kit for the occasional button of fun juice. But, if you're looking for power all the time its not a great way to go. And, if that still isn't enough for you its gonna start costing a lot more as you'll have to start going into the engine to modify stuff. Turboing is usually easier at that point IMO.
