Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [Parked Indefinitely...]
Bad news again.
Blew the headgasket on my new motor today, no idea why it happened. The boost was good, the fuel was plenty (10.5 to 11.0 AFR)
So im taking the car off the road probably, for how long? I dont know... Maybe forever, im tired of putting money in this car just so it blows up in my face 2 weeks down the road.
I went to a car dealer today and got a good price on a 2005 Mazda 3 GT 5 speed, very clean and good mileage.
If i get approved for credit.. buh bye Aveo most likely, im not sure what i will do with it.
Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [End of the line...]
failure at its finest, i would expect no less [-X
what could you do with the aveo now anyways, unless someone is willing to buy it :?:
Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [End of the line...]
change the gasket and trade it in... taking as much stuff off of it as possible to sell off (you will make more off of selling stuff separately than "selling" it to the dealer as a trade in most likely).
Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [End of the line...]
dont think a dealer would give enough for it, i say stick it out and work with it
Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [End of the line...]
No dealer will take it, i have none of the original seats and i dont have the rear seat either.
Plus i dont feel like taking it all appart.
Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [End of the line...]
fix it son, you passed the point of no return!
Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [End of the line...]
Easier said then done, i dont have the money to bring it to a shop for repairs.
And taking the head off to replace the gasket isnt something i do for a living, i have no idea how to do it, what if i get the timing wrong? So many things can go wrong here.
Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [End of the line...]
i thought you could do it #-o
just leave it as a project and come back to it later i guess
head gasket changes are not too bad though, $200-$300?
Re: Aveo 2.0L Turbocharged [End of the line...]
Nemasys, just trade your Aveo with thehunteroo's (with some cash on his part) and it will be a win/win situation. You can trade his in without any major work to return it back to stock since it's pretty much stock anyways, and hunter will finally quit drooling over yours. ;)
