aveo engine interchange

I have an 04 aveo with a bad engine.I have located an engine from an 08 with 1000 miles.Will it work?Thanks. Billy

I just completed the install.The only things i had to swap from the old engine was the throttle body and the injectors including the fuel rail.Also the crank case ventilation was slightly different.It started right up and runs great.The check engine light is flashing.So i need to hook up a scan tool to do a system variation learn procedure.All in all pretty easy job.Billy

curious as to what happened to the 04 engine? Timing belt go and take it out?
