      Hi everyone I am also new to the forums. In case any of you have a CAI and have noticed you have lost your fuel economy if you go one heat range cooler on your plugs and close the gap to .035 you will get it all back. The computer can't compensate for all the extra air you are putting in the engine. It goes rich to protect the motor so you loose the fuel economy. Ngk has a tech bulletin on it. I just had the NGK tech guy here to tell all my customers about the changes because of the ethenol in the fuel now.

      Also that got me curious. How does changing exhaust gives a better performance and what exhaust should I get?
      Reduces backpressure so the exhaust can escape more freely, which gives more room in the engine for new air and fuel instead of retaining some already "burnt" gases. But you do want to keep some backpressure so your exhaust can have a "scavenger effect." No backpressure means your gases will just kind of sit there and have to be pushed out by the gases following it, which will cause the gases to build up. The scavenger effect is basically that when the gases are moving they will create a lowpressure area behind each pulse which will help to pull along the gases following the pulse

      Exhaust velocity does not = backpressure

      backpressure = bad

      velocity = good

      Sorry my bad I think that tech bulletin only applies to cars in canada because of the amount of ethanol they put n our fuel
