Where is Bank 1 Sensor 2 located on a 2004..?? I see one when I open the hood right by the dipstick, is there another one hidden...?
I know on my girlfriends impala the same sensor was on the backside crammed against the firewall....

There is one after the CAT.
All 96+ vehicles have an O2 sensor after or in the exhaust manifold. A V6/8 has one in each manifold (bank 1 & 2). They also have and one after the catalytic converter. If the engine has two CATs you have a sensor after each of them (sensor 1 & 2). Thus the nomenclature of the bank 1 sensor 1, bank 2 sensor 1, etc.
Ok, I was underneath the car and didn't see any after the CAT, unless I'm not looking in the right spot...?
should be right before the flex joint...
bank 1 sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter. on any vehicle, bank is the side of the engine, bank 1 is the side of the engine with cyl 1. sensor 1 (whether its bank 1 or bank 2) will always be before cat, sensor 2 (whether bank 1 or bank 2) will always be after (in some case, actually IN the cat) cat. Also, on most newer vehicles, sensor 1 is also referred to as heated O2 or air/fuel ratio sensor
hope this helps, taken from the passenger side
Thanks Jayman, that helps. Now all I need is to get a new sensor, tired of the CEL on all the time.
