Best place to buy used engine?

I have a 2010 Aveo that I adore and have no intention of discarding. However, it has accumulated an embarrassing number of miles, and when it eventually fails, I plan to replace it with an engine that has fewer miles. I am not willing to spend more than $500.
I have seen various engines listed on Blue Prism Automotive, but I am uncertain whether to trust the platform. Additionally, I have been contemplating the possibility of purchasing an engine from a junkyard.

LKQ is a good place, they have recycled engines with warranty.

For a motor you are going to pay $1000+ and make sure you get a guarantee got on off ebay years back for a 2008 for 650 shipped no oil pan from back east same place I got a spare tranmission for 350 shipped 45,000 miles checking the motor cam timing was 4 teeth off got permission to tear it down valves were bent and 1 cylinder was water damaged deep rust pit into cylinder wall thank God they took care of it refunded $400 as I could use the head and let me keep all the parts don't know what you are going to git till you get it
