This appears to have the intake charge pipe on the opposite side of engine. Ur best bet is to source the vauxhall header and build it urself- its the cheapest option cuz after the header all else is universal parts except for tuning. The other day I was checking out ebay UK and gumtreeUK for complete engines. If u read that dgoody dudes write up on his header he built- follow his lead on the flange to match ur exhaust gasket and make a old school log manifold. The first civic, 3TC toyotas, n se-r's used these. They r simpl and do work, they just arent the BEST design. Check out a mid to late 80,s Saab manifold with the T3 turbo for reference. This post brings back good memories of scouring the boneyards for homemade turbos for old toyota 3tcs and rotaries in my buddies Starlet. Save $ with a lil creativity n spend that $ tuning on a dyno.

Pooh man, you may be able to clock the turbo 180* to make the charge pipe face the right way on the OP's post. I'm not sure of that turbo design though.

Now I get, Pickles. I gotta question for Rabbit- say one of sourced a manifold n turbo, ran custom piping n intercooler, would the vxr ecu n injectors swap over? I ve been shying away from turbo cuz of engine management probabilities working against piggybacking. I personally wouldnt want to mess with stand alone ecu s on a street car. Thanx guys.By the way plamb78, Im just curious what are your intentions /cathys goals?? Street? Track? Double duty n weekend warrior?

that was my plan for a while, only thing i was going to change beyond what you mentioned, would be the MAF and also working the engine (head spacer?) to set the compression to the same level as the VXR..

Just researching some things and found an ebay/UK dealer called parts_ to clear (check spelling) they have the corsa manifold n new borg warner k03 for $1040. And have other corsa gsi/vxr 1.6 parts. A little pricey for me now, but a complete US spec 1.4t may be the easiest choice in the long run. Its a real pain getting the Brits to ship here- u have to be persistent and annoying.

I agree. I was able to find the turbo and manifold for about $600 us. But then couldn't get them shipped. I even know brokers for VW parts, but I am not ordering enough "oddities" for them to venture into the vauxhall section.
