it had VGIS too, but it was an Automatic Transmission. I thought that's what you asked.

My Aveo did not get nearly the same results judging by the butt dyno. Unfortunately I did not take the extra time to do all the testing like I did in the Lanos.
Back on topic, I'm looking forward to these cams even though I still think they will be more effective on a Lanos than an Aveo because of the larger intake runners on the Lanos.
e-tec is just the name of the engine. our engines don't have variable cam profiles like vtec.
By "E-Tech kicking in" I meant when the intake runners switched from their longer path to their shorter path. I guess a more appropriate term would be "when the VGIS crossed over".Originally Posted by mtlswift
