I'm unsure as to your specific transmission, but the fact remains that with a high stall converter and a shift improver you will net better 1/4 times

so wats the latest on these cams ??

Any new news? do the cams work without valve float. If so were can i buy?Originally Posted by Audacity Racing
anything new on these cams?
As much as I would love to see it, there is NO WAY that those mods net 50-75hp. However, I can't wait to see the results.
xstevex:
So did you ever get the cams from Kent Cams?
Any details?
Audacity Racing:
Yeah, I have all the cams in and haven't had time to dyno them yet, but they seem to fit ok... haven't seen any lathing on the caps yet.
When I find time (by the end of the year) I'll post details, pics, and dyno info...
xstevex:
taken from your thread:
"I actually have three different cam profiles coming from the mild to pretty gnarly staying on the stock tappets."
Have you tried all profiles, and they all seem to work good with no floating?
And we can get the cams for $300, and the Pulley's for $100? So the total is going to be $400?
Also what type of power gains are you expecting to see on the dyno with the three different profiles?
My car is a Daily Driver, What would you recommend? I still like HP gains
And Kent Cams will make these for me if I ask them too?
Thanks!

Audacity Racing:
Yeah, I tried all three profiles... the wildest one has clear float, I'd avoid it unless you get new springs too.
I'm still working on pricing. I'm hoping to be their US contact for the woo cams. They make cams for all our different engines including my V6, so we'll see what comes.
As for the middle profile (between the mild and wild) expect around 20 crank hp, 30 with a tune (if you have an SMT6 or SMT 7 or perhaps a megasquirt, MoTeC, AEM, etc)
xstevex:
Where would I be able to get a tune? Possibly the dealer?
Audacity Racing:
Unfortuantely, we don't have any maps to load onto the stock ECUs. That's why i mention something like an SMT6 or SMT7 (piggy backs) or the bigger full systems.
xstevex:
Alright.
But it runs good with out the tune?
Audacity Racing:
So far so good.
I'll make sure to get the proper timing figured out for stock ECU's too
xstevex:
Alright. It sounds like I'll probably buy the Middle profile when it is available. So keep me updated (as well as the rest of the board)!
Thanks!
