Can i get an engine part identifacation?

Can someone tell me what is the small bundle of wires, that is right above, and to the LEFT, of the coolant reservoir tank, on the fire wall,it is kind of attached to that small black 'canister', almost sitting on top of the coolant reservoir. What is the wire bundle?

It has like 4 wires going into it. It is attached with a simple plastic clip, to the metal part, that is attached to the firewall. The black 'canister' is right above the coolant tank, the part I am talking about is the small wire bundle with 2 white wires in the top of the bundle. The wires are not damaged, just the cheap plastic 'hook' that holds these to the car. The car still runs fine, but I rather have it attached correctly, or tell me how to attach this plastic piece back to the metal piece on the firewall.

I tried to superglue it back on, didnt work, I have Gorilla tape holding it on now, doubt it will hold long. Going to go to Chevy sometime this week, but if I knew what it was, I could call and ask to order the part, or look up the part on Rock auto and buy it.

I dont know if it is a super important wire bundle, going to a computer, or just the wiper relay, so i cant look it up. Anyone?

I believe that black canister is your windshield wiper motor.

your plastic gm wire loom clip probably broke, or went missing.
Look up "Wire loom clip" or throw gm in there too and see if you find on that matches your needs.

Well I checked the 'repair' this morning and the superglue is rockhard! I took off the Gorilla tape, and the glue is welded to the metal disk. on the firewall. I guess it takes super glue longer than the 30 seconds it says on the tube, for it to bond!! I will still go to Chevy or to my mechanic, and ask what the wires do, or hope someone HERE knows what they do, and can tell me.

I do see them going into the canister, are they the wires that control the wipers? Front and BACK?

I guess I should have said "Daox is right" those are your windshield wiper wires, the canister is part of the windshield wiper motor assembly.

So do you think with that 'wire harness' I glued to the metal clip part in the back of it, is good enough to hold it? Or must it be clipped on? Knowing GM, I probably have to replace the entire wiper motor wire assembly,..right? Never make it easy/cheap, to replace a cheap plastic part, that they put in there to being with....right? I'll go to the Chevy parts dept. this week or next and just ask...but this is easier. I have looked on Rock Auto and a GM discount part site, and cant find a wiper motor wire assembly.

It kind of looks like the wires come out of the motor, then go into that wire assembly, that clips to the firewall, and then goes down into the engine in that round wire bundle under it. Which probably means buying a new wiper motor...which i don't need, and its expensive. I bet they dont sell the wire separate. Right?

As long as its still holding together, you should be fine. I probably wouldn't worry even if the clip broke and the connector was just hanging there as long as there isn't tension on it.

I agree with Doax. Usually even with vibration the connector keeps the contacts firm and vibrations will not damage it further.

There is no tension on it at all, just thought it needs to be attached to the firewall on that clip that broke. But like I said, my the clip is built into the entire motor, so yuo cant buy just the clip. Thanks

Looks like a fix I would make with a couple of wire ties, around the top and bottom of the plugs. In a diagonal pattern

Well so far it is still staying 'stuck'. So I am leaving it alone. IF I EVER replace that 'unit' That will take care of it. But the superglue seems to have it well fixed. Thanks.
