go to your local jobber and get a direct fit O2. Put a AC Delco in it. Yes you can use a universal but it the car is not worth the extra money for the right one then why bother with any?
your talking a $150-250 difference in price just for the factory to put the wire ends on for you for the most part.
the quality of the sensor itself is about the same, and sometimes its the same sensor you would pay a lot more for.
hey vato zone says the only 1 that works there is the exact same replacement?? this true?? or the 1 on ebay my best bet?
so it shut off 2day again at the bank.im gonna take it 2 get diagnosed. i dont think its the o2 sensor. im thinking idle control valve. but i wont kno till i can take it 2 the shop. been way 2 busy FTL.
ok so i finally threw on the aluminum thermo. at the same time i washed her. i took the ave 2 the mechanic w/ a snap on tools dyalasis thing. $35.00
told me its the Map sensor $60, thermo $5, and the 02 sensor $100.
so i ordered the map and added the thermo.
he erased the check engine light and once the map comes ill add on. went 2 advance auto 2 order the map, and i asked also for the 02 sensor. he says we have universal ones, and i said wait i thought it wouldnt fit on the aveo??
he says he doesnt recommend. i never listen lol but i think ill try the ebay 1 after i add the map sensor.
odds are its only the o2.. they rarely would go all at the same time.
talking about the o2 sensor---I have headers on my Aveo and my light will not go off "engine light" have any one come up with a way to fix tat problem??
did you eliminate the cat?
yes I did. I just took off the o2 dipped it in some fuel injection cleaner and removed the neg wire.
