Just don't get suckered into the "universal fit" bosch ones. The splicing never works well.

I've always used universal sensors and have never had a problem. Universal O2 sensors just means you have to reuse the connector on your original sensor. This requires cutting the wires and soldering/crimping the connector to the new sensor.

doesnt sound that bad i've done that b4 with the fuel pump. so which 1 would yall recommend?

I've used the universal o2 sensor from autozone on my '04 aveo's upstream sensor. It's not hard at all. 30 minutes if you've ever crimped wires before, and can follow directions.

To install:

1. Disconnect the wiring harness for the o2 sensor.
2. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (a couple bolts towards the top of the shield).
3. Remove the o2 sensor from the exhaust manifold
4. Cut the wire from the o2 sensor to the connector. Cut it close to the sensor itself, that way you have a TON of wire to work with, you can always use zip ties later to shorten it... but if you cut it short and make a mistake, you may end up running out of wire! Save the sheath around the wires and reuse it.
5. Follow the instructions and use the included harness to connect the OEM connector to the new o2 sensor.
6. Reinstall the new o2 sensor, manifold heat shield, and plug in.
7. Run the car until it's warmed up a couple times and your code should clear, or just take it to autozone and have them clear it.

well my wifes says it happened yesturday. AGAIN. i think its happened a total of 5 times with her 2 with me. i will most likely invest in the sensor. what do u fellas think?

another note is that she says the gauge inside is and has been readin lately. check egine lights been on still. but yes as soon as i get a chance ill order 1. i gots alota stuff on my mind. workin on gettin a house.

I'd just go to the local autozone or whatever and buy a universal sensor for the Aveo.
