Hello there guys.
Me and my dad recently had to change my clutch disk and pressure plate, and we ended up with multiple issues on the car, due to poor ground connection.
After attaching a direct ground from the negative end of the battery, directly to the engine block, most of the issues went away.
However we started having issues with the cooling. We replaced the thermostat housing & sensor on the metal part of the housing. And we replaced the sensor located at the back, on the plastic housing.
We replaced all of the fuses & relays for the cooling fan speed [ high/low ], and we found out that the ceramic resistor for the low speed was busted.
After replacing that resistor, we started the car and tried to get the heat up. We're getting no errors on the ECM, and once the engine temp reaches 90-105 cellsius, we still don't get any fan working.
We've noticed that when unplugging the temp sensor on the plastic housing we get the low fan speed working. [ Our guess is that there's some sort of safety feature that's kicking in, and getting us fan spin ]
When we unplug both the temp sensors on the thermostat , we get a delayed fan spin [ once again most likely a safety feature].
Does anyone have any idea's on what could be causing this issue, and what to check next, because we're out of ideas.
