i know its not exactly the same, but the body of the car is pretty damn close.

cai > sri. even with a functional scoop you'll build up too much heat when your not moving.

what is your issue with the filter? you have to put in in through the wheel well. And remove the resonator box. did you do that?

Tnks for the reply, I can see in the pics ur second pipe, the one that goes into the fender is much longer than mine, mine must be the cheap universal type! so, I guess I'll just get a extension or 3rd pipe and that will move the filter further down and foward and than it should fit fine. I still like to do some hood heat vents, or use the scoop to route some cool air into the engine bay.

Thanks Petrified rabbit and everybody, I worked on the CAI again today and it fit just fine, I guess when I try it before it looked liked the wheel whell would not fit with the filter, but adjust here and there and it fit fine. I did cut about 1 inch of the tube that goes in the trotle body so it would fit right. I also felt the difference in the crispier aceleration! With the SRAI, after the car was hot, I would notice a decrease in power, I think it was 'heat soak' at work, now with the filter in the fender its much better. So the CAI from 'CHROMEINTAKES' (ebay) is a great buy at $65 with shipping... Very recomended.
      Here some pics.
Mine is a 06 LS, and for the air sensor I just drilled a larger hole and used a larger gromet from Autozone 'help' section.

Just got my AEM cai in today (cost me $200), took all of 15 min to install, now I need to order the AEM bypass for it, the cai I have is one full pipe, I will have to cut out a section of the pipe when I get the bypass.
